Boucheron Plume de Paon High Jewellery timepiece

Defining virtuosity, Boucheron’s latest Plume de Paon timepiece simulates the silhouette of the Maison’s iconic ‘Question Mark’ necklace whilst playing host to the bold and innovative use of white marble sourced from the quarries of Jodphur. The delicate curves of the feather are illuminated with white marble marquetry, highlighted by round and baguette diamonds that were specifically sculpted.  The ocellus of the feather features a small ring-shaped watch cradled by a small tiara set with baguette diamonds. The rod of the feather opens to facilitate the adorning of this timepiece, while the back of the head features impeccable High Jewellery finishings with honeycomb open-work. Yet the message here is that whilst it boasts all the trappings of an heirloom, it remains modern, graceful and beautifully wearable.

Jaeger LeCoultre Rendez-Vous Ivy Secret

Drawing inspiration from the sumptuous gem-setting of a 1960s Jaeger LeCoultre model, the latest Rendez-Vous Ivy Secret marks the first jewellery timepiece to join the ranks of the Rendez-Vous line. The slightly domed cover of this masterpiece is carpeted with three types of diamonds: brilliant, baguette and marquise cut, forming an outline of a flower that appears frozen and ensnared in glass. It guards a dial edged with a graceful grain setting. The ivy leaves are engraved and painted by hand, creating a realistic and yet decidedly poetic effect. Culminating a grand total of 304 diamonds, this big-ticket is driven by the Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 846/1 mechanical manually-wound miniature movement, the pride of the watchmaker and in true Haute Joaillerie fashion, wraps stunningly around the wrist with a dual-band diamond bracelet.

Bvlgari Lucea High Jewellery

When Bulgari unveiled its Lucea collection last year, it was distinguished by its hand of restraint, ensuring the sort of everyday glamour that modern life entailed. But this time, the Maison has set sailed in a completely disparate direction by introducing precious stone setting into the equation, arriving at a mesmeric range that further depicted light as a core inspiration. Delivered in three different permutations, it incorporated three of jewellery’s big four: diamonds, rubies and emeralds. Each timepiece is adorned with more than 14 carats of precious stones with the bracelet alone deploying 132 hours of gem-setting expertise,  alternating between invisible and close settings whilst the dial encompasses 84 diamonds in five different sizes to create a radial pattern. It measures a dainty 23mm and is doled out in a limited run of just five pieces for the diamond version and three pieces for ruby and emerald.

Chopard Green Carpet Timepiece

In celebration of 60 years of the Cannes Palme d’Or, the French jeweller created a timepiece borne of the storied motif, an emblem of Chopard since 1998. The Maison continues to take strides towards sustainable sourcing with this heavenly timepiece crafted entirely from white Fairmined gold, and set with marquise-cut diamonds sourced from the IGC group, a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), a monitoring and supervisory body in the fields of ethical, social and ecological concerns. Each gem is placed with the greatest precision on the perimeter of the watch where the regulation of 19 leaves, which extends beyond the dial and appears to have been caught in mid-motion, encircles the timepiece.  Rife with meaning coupled with accomplished craftsmanship, the brilliance of its case is then contrasted by the muted sheen of a black satin bracelet.
