A true artisanal beauty, Vulcain carves a new version of their 50s Presidents watch with a Grand Feu cloisonné enamel dial festooned with 12 diamonds for hour indices. It features the inspirational Pegasus on an elaborate guilloche-evening horizon. The 18k rose gold case encompasses the self-winding movement coupled with the Maison’s famous Cricket alarm complication exclusive to Vulcain timepieces.
In Greek mythology, Pegasus was famed as the divine winged-stallion, journeying with different gods on honourable exploits. A symbol of wisdom and creation, legend has it that wherever the creature of pure white strikes its front hooves on earth, a spring will burst forth. Vulcain uses this belief to symbolise the spirit of Only Watch’s determined efforts to eradicate Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, to the ends of the evening horizon.
Only Watch has been funding research against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy for the last 10 years. Come November, the world-renowned charity auction will be held in the heart of watch horology, Geneva. The 44 one-of-a-kind timepieces from various brands will then travel around the globe to the main cities of luxury. But for now, we have for you a preview of these watches of mechanical triumph.
