The new Aprilia RSV4, lighter, faster, smarter. It’s a superbike which supersedes its 2009 predecessor through sheer precision on aesthetic and engineering design, with 16 additional horsepower, fusing an earth-shattering 201 HP within 180 kg machine (incidentally 2.5 kg lighter than the original). The beast may look the same at first glance, that’s even before you consider its front end redesigned with more top fairing and new mirrors to improve aerodynamic penetration.
Beneath the surface, this brilliant remake comes with a new air box, redefined combustion chambers, new camshaft profiles, optimised lubrication systems, improved engine ratios, and an entirely revamped exhaust system. A recalibrated, more powerful ECU to manage excess of 200 HP brings together a fusion of Italian technology and flair.
The new Aprilia beast sets the benchmark to racing technology, with the machine able to sync to your smartphone to change settings on your bike to suit every turn on track with GPS, best lap analysing and more in-depth details on your current setting.
The only superbike to allow fully adjustable positions throughout the machine, it has stretched boundaries of technology with an even more sophisticated APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control), with improvements in Traction, Wheelie and Launch Control, and Quick Shifts. The new arrival establishes itself with not only sheer strength but with safety as well, guided by Race ABS antilock braking system, adjustable to three different scenarios to better suit track, street or poor grip.
Highly customisable with accessories, Aprilia also offers the RSV4 with a “Race Pack”, which includes lightweight aluminium wheel rims and reinforced Öhlins suspension. The Aprilia RSV4 RR is available in both matte, on a Buscine Grey and Ascari Black.
To commemorate the new definition of a superbike, Aprilia will be offering 500 numbered units called the RSV4 RF. These limited editions come with Race Pack and the iconic “Superpole” graphic.
