1. Omega Speed Master White Side of the Moon
Completing the trilogy with the third entry to Omega’s iconic Speedmaster Moonwatch series, the Omega Speedmaster White Side of the Moon is one that was inspired not by the astronauts’ view of the moon from space but rather the enchanting purity of the celestial body as perceived below. Presented in the same 44.25mm case and crafted from white ceramic, the bezel features a matte chromium nitride tachymeter. The polished ceramic pushers on the case function independently and thus finding no risk to the chronograph mechanisms should inadvertent manipulation occur. A couple of other distinguishing features are the 18-carat white gold hands and applied indexes and the rhodium-plated seconds hand on the central chronograph featuring a red tip. Fitted on a white leather strap, the White Side of the Moon is powered by the Omega Co-Axial calibre 9300, the first in-house Co-Axial movement to feature a chronograph function. It is also optioned in a mother-of-pearl dial adorned with diamonds and a diamond gem-set bezel.
2. Breitling Superocean II 36
The first femininely sized Superocean from Brietling yet easily the most attractive, the Superocean II 36 features an ultra legible dial despite the tone-on-tone impression of large white luminescent numerals set against a white backdrop. The white oversized hands are clearly visible in darkness, prevailing at great depths along with a rubber-molded unidirectional rotating bezel, accentuating its technical, sporty and classically modern portrait. Powered by the automatic Breitling 17 movement, this model is also available in a black version.
3. Chanel J12 Soft Blue 38 MM
An unmistakable symbol of distinction, elegance and refinement since it first made its debut in 2000, Chanel has launched its iconic J12 in three powdery shades of pastels like light blue, soft pink and green for the first time. Featuring the same white high-tech ceramic with an unexpected tinge of colour on the unidirectional rotating bezel, this modern, sophisticatedly versatile timepiece runs at a limited edition of 1200 pieces.
4. Richard Mille 07-01 ATZ White Ceramic
Performance and aesthetics have long been a staple coupling on which Richard Mille thrives. The seduction continues apace with one of the most potent amalgams when the brand introduces white ceramic to the feminine wrist in the RM07-01. Harnessed to mechanical perfection and helmed by the in-house designed caliber CRMA2, a highly skeletonised automatic movement developed specifically for the RM 07-01, this piece features a baseplate and bridges machined from grade 5 titanium. The CRMA2 also includes a variable-inertia balance in order to maintain exacting long-term performance and a rotor in 5N 18K red gold with variable geometry in order to be able to adapt the rotational speed of the rotor according to the owner activity, thus optimising the winding of the barrel’s high rotation.
This timekeeping architecture also plays host to the new, RM patented crown construction which is no longer directly connected to the interior of the movement, rendering it virtually unbreakable. It boasts a power reserve of 50 hours, a significant accomplishment for a ladies movement.
